Terms of Service

Using the service

Ready Set Join helps organizers publish signups and participants reserve items, tasks, or volunteer places. These terms govern your use of the service. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a binding agreement where you live. You must have permission to act for any organization or person you represent. The service is intended for adult users; parents and guardians may coordinate participation for children. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Accounts and private links

Provide accurate information and keep your account credentials and private management links secure. Google sign-in and password sign-in may access the same account when our authentication provider verifies that they belong together. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account or links. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not use another person’s account or try to access a workspace or reservation without permission.

Organizer responsibilities

Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of event descriptions, schedules, locations, capacity, instructions, and changes. Obtain any permissions needed to run your activity and to collect or use participant information. Use participant details only for the activity and related coordination unless you have a separate lawful basis and any required permission. Do not place private participant information in publicly visible descriptions. Ready Set Join does not supervise events, screen participants, or verify food safety, qualifications, or suitability for a task.

Participant responsibilities

Choose places you intend to fulfill and review the organizer’s instructions. Joining a waitlist does not guarantee a confirmed place. Check your confirmation and updates, and cancel promptly if you cannot participate. Contact the organizer about event arrangements, accessibility, dietary needs, or safety concerns. Email delivery and calendar updates can be delayed or blocked, so confirm important details directly with the organizer.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, impersonation, spam, or infringement of another person’s rights. Do not upload malicious code, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, scrape private information, or submit information you are not authorized to share. Do not enter payment-card details, government identifiers, health records, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for a signup.

Your content and our service

You retain rights in the content you submit. You give us permission to host, store, copy, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, protect, and support the service and carry out your instructions, including publishing a signup or sending an event email. You confirm that you have the necessary rights to provide it. The service’s software and branding remain the property of their respective owners; these terms do not transfer ownership to you.

Availability, changes, and third parties

Features may change, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages, or other reasons. We do not guarantee that a signup, message, or reminder will always be available or error-free. Google sign-in and other third-party services have their own terms. Any future paid offering will present its pricing and terms before you choose to purchase it; these terms do not authorize a charge.

Suspension and stopping use

You may stop using the service at any time and contact support to request account closure. We may restrict or suspend access to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the restriction and allow you to contact us about it. Closing an account, canceling a reservation, or archiving an event does not necessarily delete all related records; see the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without warranties that it will meet every requirement or operate without interruption or error. Organizers and participants remain responsible for their own activities and commitments. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and questions

When these terms change, we will publish the updated text and effective date and notify users by email using the email address provided to the service. We will provide any additional notice or obtain agreement required by law. Contact support with questions about these terms or a service issue. For questions about an individual event, contact its organizer first.
